A historic pub on the edge of Hatching Green, Harpenden, the White Horse delivers character with every well-kept pint. The spacious terrace and fire pit make a great spot to spend an afternoon or evening in the warmer months. Serving fresh, quality, seasonal food every day (with a top-notch roast every Sunday), alongside fine ales, carefully-chosen wines, gins and classic cocktails. The ethically-sourced coffee is pretty good stuff too.
The White Horse does have baby changing and high chairs, and a kids menu plus a kids breakfast menu! A spokeswoman for the pub added: “Women are welcome to breastfeed and the team will help mums feel at home whenever they visit. The pub can provide hot water for a bottle too. We generally avoid warming milk for the guest in view of the risk of scolding, but will provide containers (ice buckets) with hot water for mums and dads to warm the milk themselves.”
